The Kilgore Bride

The beautiful bridal doll was commissioned by my mother for her sister. It is a Gene Marshall - Blue Goddess doll. I kept the original hair style and lip paint. Her eye paint and lashes were damaged. This was alright since they were going to be removed and repainted.
The veil is a simple oblong shape edged in satin ribbon. Where the veil attaches to the head, it adorns the head with satin roses. These roses are delicately made by hand.
With every bride, the right lingerie should come into play. This lacy lingerie set is in a beautiful ivory color. The set includes bandeau bra with a pretty ribbon decoration placed in the center, matching panties with garters and a lovely pair of silky stockings.
This wedding dress is a reproduction of my grandmother's wedding dress. My aunt wore it for her wedding. The only modification that has been done on the dress was the addition of lace at the hem of the dress. The original color of the dress was white and with time has become a beautiful shade of yellowed ivory.

The shoes were found in a local dollar store and were originally silver. I removed the original paint and painted to match the dress color.
